Navigating Through Your Invoice Payments with ACH

ACH offers a convenient and efficient way to handle your financial transactions, including invoice payments, with ease. In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of leveraging ACH for seamless invoice payments, addressing outstanding invoices, and managing previous wire transfers. By mastering these steps, you'll be equipped to streamline your invoice payment process and optimize your financial operations for greater efficiency and convenience.

We currently support ACH payments for US companies and all full-time employment invoices. Please note, that we don’t currently run Direct Debits for contractor invoices. 

How to make a payment with ACH

You can easily pay your employees with an ACH bank transfer. 

To make payments with ACH, you need to ensure that auto-payment is enabled so that eligible payroll invoices are automatically withdrawn from your account.

Once you have connected your bank account and enabled auto-payment you will be able to pay your invoices using ACH Direct Debit.

How this works:

1. Approve your employees payroll
2. Once payroll is approved your invoice will be generated 
3. The funds will automatically be debited from your account after all approvals

View your invoices

When a new invoice is generated, the billing contacts of your company will receive an email notification. 

To view all your invoices, click on the Invoices tab. All Invoices that will be paid using ACH Direct Debit are indicated as ACH. 

Auto payments

If you have an ACH Direct Debit set up, you will be automatically enrolled in auto-pay. This means that when the invoice payment is due, all ACH-type invoices will go to our Finance team for approval. Once they review and confirm the invoice, the funds will be automatically pulled from your bank account. The status of the invoice will be changed to Processing until we receive the funds in our account.

Once we receive the payment, the invoice status will be changed to Paid.

Please note that International bank transfers can take up to seven business days to process.

What happens if you’ve already paid an invoice via wire transfer?

If you have paid via wire transfer, there is no change for outstanding invoices. However, once the transition to ACH is complete, subsequent invoices will be generated and processed through the new payment method. This seamless transition ensures that your payment preferences are updated for future transactions while maintaining consistency and reliability in managing outstanding invoices.

In essence, if you've paid via wire transfer, there's no need to take additional steps for outstanding invoices. Your next invoices will simply be generated and processed via ACH, aligning with your updated payment preferences.

How to manage direct debit cancellation and mandate revocation

Direct debits offer convenience, but when it's time to cancel them, knowing the right steps can save you time and hassle. Here's a quick guide on managing direct debit cancellation and mandate revocation:

1. Turn Off Auto-Payment: You have the option to turn off auto-payment directly through your account. By disabling auto-payment, you can prevent future payments from being automatically deducted, giving you greater control over your payment schedule.

2. Delete Payment Method: Additionally, you can delete your payment method from the account profile. This action removes the stored payment details, ensuring that no further transactions can be processed using that payment method.
