RemoFirst helps companies onboard, manage, and pay contractors across different countries through one platform. This guide introduces the contractor journey and directs you to the right instructions for each stage.
Tour overview - Account Setup
The Contractor Journey
The standard contractor journey has six stages:
- Set up your company account and billing information.
- Add the contractor and enter their work and compensation details.
- Create or upload the contractor agreement.
- Invite the contractor to complete their onboarding checklist.
- Manage work items, invoices, and payments.
- Complete any final payments and offboard the contractor when the engagement ends.
What Employers Manage
As the client, you are responsible for entering accurate contractor and engagement information, selecting the appropriate contract and payment structure, reviewing submitted work items, funding invoices, and notifying RemoFirst when an engagement changes or ends.
You can use the RemoFirst platform to:
- Add individual contractors or import multiple contractors.
- Create a RemoFirst agreement or upload a fully signed agreement.
- Monitor contractor onboarding and activation.
- Create payments and review submitted timesheets, milestones, expenses, and additional payment requests.
- Review and approve eligible work and payment items.
- View invoice and payment statuses.
- Request a RemoCheck background check when needed.
- Update or end a contractor engagement.
What the Contractors Manage
Contractors create their accounts, confirm their personal information, complete identity verification and tax requirements, sign the applicable agreement, and set up a withdrawal method.
Depending on the engagement, contractors may also submit timesheets, milestones, expenses, additional payment requests, or time-off requests.
