Overview
Effective 1 October 2026, Ireland's Pay-Related Social Insurance (PRSI) contribution rates will increase by 0.15% across the board for Class A contributions, as part of the Department of Social Protection's multi-year Social Insurance Fund roadmap. This update has been confirmed by Ireland Local Partners.
Who is affected
All employees on Irish payroll under Class A contributions. Impact varies by weekly earnings band (see table below).

Effective date and payroll timing
This change is effective 1 October 2026 and applies starting with the October 2026 payroll cycle.
