Every contractor engagement on RemoFirst should be supported by an agreement that accurately reflects the scope of work, compensation, and engagement terms.
You can create and e-sign an agreement through RemoFirst, upload an agreement that has already been signed, or update an existing agreement when the engagement changes.
Tour overview - ContractCreate an Agreement Through RemoFirst
- Go to People > Add new hire > Contractor.
Enter the contractor’s required information, select Continue, and add contract.
Alternatively, go to Agreements and select Create new contract.
- Select the option to create an agreement using RemoFirst’s contract tools.
- Review your company information and confirm that the legal entity name matches your official company records.
- Confirm the authorized client signatory. If another team member needs to sign, add or select the appropriate client user.
- Review the contractor’s information, including:
- Legal name.
- Country.
- Scope of work.
- Compensation and currency.
- Payment frequency.
- Start date and end date, if applicable.
- Preview the agreement and confirm that all information is correct.
- Complete the electronic signature process as the client signatory.
- The contractor will receive an email inviting them to review and sign the agreement.
Monitor the signature status from the contractor’s profile or the Agreements area.
Important: Do not create another agreement if the contractor cannot find the original email. Check the agreement status first, then contact Contractor Success if the invitation needs to be resent.
Upload a Pre-Signed Agreement
If you already have your own contractor agreement:
- Confirm that the agreement is complete and signed by all required parties.
- Select the upload option during the contract setup process.
- Upload the signed document in an accepted file format.
- Review the uploaded document and select Complete setup.
Clients are responsible for ensuring that uploaded agreements comply with applicable laws, accurately reflect the engagement, and are consistent with RemoFirst’s terms of service.
Update an existing contractor agreement
You may need to update an agreement when:
- The engagement needs to be extended.
- The start date or end date changes.
- The contractor’s compensation, currency, or payment frequency changes.
- The scope of work changes.
- Other engagement terms need to be amended.
The same process applies whether you are amending, extending, or otherwise updating the agreement.
Update the agreement
- Go to the Agreements area.
- Select Update Contract.
- Choose the contractor from the dropdown list
- You can then choose to either upload a new contract or create one using RemoFirst’s contract tool.
- Monitor the signature status from the contractor’s profile or the Agreements area.
Important: Do not create a duplicate agreement to make a change. Begin from the contractor’s existing agreement and follow the update process.
