The Government of Bangladesh has published the official 2026 public holiday calendar. In addition to the holidays listed below, the government has declared March 18, 2026 as an additional public holiday by executive order, as the date falls between the previously scheduled holidays for Laylat al-Qadr (Shab-e-Qadr) and Eid-ul-Fitr, extending the holiday period.
Some holidays span multiple days, particularly major religious observances such as Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.
